Maremma
 |
Maremma, the “Wild West” of Tuscany, is characterised by green hills dotted with sunflower fields, olive trees and vineyards. The Maremma region has got many facets such as unspoilt beaches and medieval villages: a divine, natural scenery awaiting to be discovered! Along the coastline, the Parco Naturale dell’Uccellina (about 9.000 ha of unspoilt nature) counts more than 70 different bird species as well as wild boars, deers, wild horses and Maremma’s white cattle. For those who love nature, good food, and beautiful golf-courses and appreciate simplicity and originality but don’t want to miss out on culture during their stay, the Maremma area is definitely a part of Tuscany worth visiting. |

Massa Marittima is the “gem” of Maremma. This small medieval town is set on a hill at about 400 metres above sea level. Tourists appreciate its old-fashioned atmosphere. The square in front of the cathedral is one of the most beautiful squares in Tuscany. Visitors who have had the chance to enjoy a beautiful sunset while sitting at the table of one of the many bars or restaurants, will cherish these moments. From the city walls, the view on Maremma is breathtaking and has inspired many painters. |

Punta Ala is an elegant seaside resort situated on a small peninsula, rich of tall pine trees. It boasts the most attractive marina of the Tyrrhenian coast. In summertime, all the luxury hotels and residences are booked by Italian celebrities who choose to spend their holidays in this resort. Free time activities can be practised such as tennis, golf and polo. The panorama is stunning and on clear days the island of Elba seems to be so close that you feel you can almost reach out for it and touch it. |
